The first dental visit for a child who is two-years-old or under helps set the tone for the rest of their lives. 2. Dental Cleaning

During your child's first visit, the hygienist will be examining and cleaning your child's teeth. The next part of the process is when the dentist joins you and your baby. They will closely examine your baby's mouth to detect any signs of tooth decay. If your child is three-years-old or older, we will escort them to a treatment chair where they can relax during their checkup. Their hygienist will clean their teeth, including flossing and the application of fluoride.

After your child's teeth have been cleaned, our dentist will conduct a thorough examination of their mouth and teeth. They will advise that they follow a routine for future dental visits that can occur at periodic intervals, based upon their unique cavity-risk level. After the completion of your child's visit, he or she will be provided with a patient bag containing a small toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss.
